Works for the Civil, Industrial, Environmental and Sports Aerodynamics Lab (CIESAL) are moving forward at a good pace.

The lab is to host the biggest Wind Tunnel in Spain, known as SAVE which stands for the Spanish translation of the Extreme Winds Environmental Simulator.

The facility will combine the capacities of a boundary layer wind tunnel and a Tornado simulator.

With 5 different testing areas will be capable to accommodate aereoelastic models for big span bridges or high-rise buildings , simulate boundary layer conditions, downburst, tornadoes or even low level jets.

Finally, one of the areas will be solely devoted to Sports aerodynamics, in particular for cycling and skiing.
